What will you do as a PLC Software Engineer?

As a PLC Software Engineer, you will work on international projects while being based in Latvia. Depending on the project phase, you will work partly from the office/home base and partly on-site in countries such as Latvia, Germany, Poland and the Netherlands. You will work closely with Process Engineers and fellow Software Engineers.

Your main responsibility is the development, testing and commissioning of PLC/SCADA software for combustion and thermal energy plants.

Furthermore, you wil:

  • Develop and program PLC/SCADA systems for industrial combustion plants;

  • Test and commission software on-site during installation and start-up phases;

  • Analyse and solve software- and electrical-related issues;

  • Implement software updates on operational installations;

  • Support service teams with technical and software-related questions;

  • Contribute to process improvements, software optimization and innovation testing;

  • Prepare and review technical documentation and specifications;

  • Coordinate with suppliers, procurement and on-site project teams;

  • Ensure correct implementation according to design, quality and safety standards.

Vereisten

What are we looking for?

  • Completed education in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, PLC programming, or similar, or demonstrable relevant work experience in electrical engineering or automation field;

  • Knowledge of HMI and SCADA systems;

  • Experience with Siemens S7 and TIA Portal is a plus;

  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written;

  • Solution-oriented, strong communication skills, and independent;

  • Knowledge of OT security is an advantage.
