What will you do as a PLC Software Engineer?

In this versatile role, you will combine software development, electrical engineering, and service-oriented thinking. You will test our systems, solve complex malfunctions and implement smart improvements to our energy installations. You will work closely with colleagues, service engineers, and customers worldwide to keep our installations stable, efficient, and sustainable.

You will:

  • Design, implement and test modifications to existing installations, if necessary, also on-site;

  • Identify and independently resolve electrical and software malfunctions;

  • Actively contribute ideas for improvements and automation solutions;

  • Provide technical support to service and maintenance teams and customers;

  • Collaborate with international colleagues on challenging projects and innovative solutions.

Vereisten

What are we looking for?

  • Education or experience in automation, mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer science or a similar field;

  • Knowledge of HMI and SCADA systems;

  • Experience with Siemens S7 and TIA Portal is a plus;

  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written;

  • Solution-oriented, strong communication skills, and independent;

  • Hold a VOP/VP certificate (up to 1 kV) or willing to obtain one.
