Job description

Contribute to a clean, safe, and pleasant work environment!
Are you an experienced cleaning professional who works independently, takes responsibility, and prioritizes quality? Then we would like to meet you. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Cleaning Assistant for 15 to 25 hours per week.

Who are we?

HoSt Group is a global leader in the development and realization of high-tech systems for the production of sustainable energy from residual streams. With projects in more than 45 countries and offices in the Netherlands, France, Poland, Latvia, and the USA, we contribute every day to the energy transition and a cleaner world.

As a family business founded in 1991, we combine innovation with down-to-earth pragmatism. We give our people room to grow, show initiative, and contribute to a sustainable future.

About the role

As a Cleaning Assistant, you are indispensable in the daily functioning of our organization. You ensure that our offices, common areas, and sanitary facilities are clean, well-maintained, and safe.

You will start at our location in Enschede. At a later stage, we will move to Hengelo, where you will continue your work in a new work environment.

You work independently but are also part of the facility team. You have an eye for detail, identify any peculiarities, and contribute to a safe working environment for colleagues and visitors.

What will you do?

Ideally, you work spread over all working days, with shifts of 3 to 5 hours per day, before 8:00 a.m. in the morning and/or after 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon. In this role, you are responsible for, among other things:

  • Daily cleaning of offices and common areas;

  • Cleaning of sanitary facilities;

  • Keeping the kitchen and pantries clean;

  • Emptying trash cans and replenishing supplies;

  • Identifying maintenance or safety issues;

  • Performing tasks according to safety instructions (in Dutch and/or English).

Some technical skills are beneficial but not required.

Job requirements

What do we ask for?

We are looking for a reliable and experienced professional with:

  • A completed basic cleaning education, such as SVC Basic Cleaning Education or RAS Basic Cleaning Vocational Training;

  • Demonstrable work experience in cleaning (required);

  • A strong sense of responsibility;

  • Reliability and punctuality;

  • High quality standards in your work;

  • Proficiency in Dutch and English due to safety instructions;

  • Independence and a proactive work attitude.

Selection process

After an initial introductory interview, a fieldwork day is part of the selection process. During this day, you will get a good impression of the tasks, colleagues, and instructions — and we will also get to know you. Together, we ensure a good match.

What do we offer?

  • Good employment conditions and a competitive salary based on work experience and education;

  • A part-time position of 15–25 hours per week;

  • Flexible hours spread over the workweek (3–5 hours per day);

  • Excellent pension scheme;

  • Annual holiday allowance of 8%;

  • An organization where quality, safety, and collaboration are central;

  • Joining a team of both starting and experienced professionals;

  • From 2026: Working in a completely new, sustainably built office building equipped with the latest sustainable facilities in Hengelo!

  • High level of independence and responsibility;

  • Abundant opportunities to develop yourself technically and professionally;

  • The latest bicycle (bicycle leasing plan) with the opportunity to earn gift vouchers by cycling.
