The role
HoSt Biogas is involved in the development and production of industrial technological installations for biogas plants and biogas purification stations. We develop modular installations that are built on steel structures and directly in buildings throughout Europe and beyond. Due to the rapid growth in sustainable energy development and our Biogas component, we are looking for a colleague Design Engineer.
You will work at our headquarters in Enschede, and by the end of this year we will move to our brand new office building in Hengelo!
At our headquarters, we have more than 350 colleagues actively contributing to a world full of sustainable energy. Globally, we have over 600 colleagues working in our offices and various plants.
You will join an experienced team of 4 Design Engineers. They will gladly assist you with your development and knowledge of Biogas plants. Additionally, you will closely collaborate with Electrical Engineers, Software Engineers, and Project Engineers. You will report to the Business Unit Manager Biogas.
What will you be doing?
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing industrial installations, particularly in the areas of pipelines and steel structures. You will work with PED pressure guidelines, ASME regulations, ATEX directives, and other industry-related guidelines. Your further responsibilities include:
Preparation of 3D drawings for standard product development and execution of specific projects;
Creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs);
Analysis of existing solutions and proposing improvements;
Day-to-day collaboration with the international project engineering team;
Participation in technical meetings as part of ongoing projects.
Job requirements
What are we looking for?
A technical education background at HBO or MBO level, for example: mechanical engineering or materials technology;
Minimum of 3-5 years as a mechanical designer;
Knowledge of preparing technical documents;
Knowledge of standards in mechanical design;
Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCad software, and MS Office package;
Proficiency in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing;
Ability to easily establish contacts and maintain good business relationships;
Ability to organize your own work well and have a proactive work attitude.
