Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer who enjoys working independently or as part of a small team, investigating technical problems in depth and working with innovative installations?
Then this could be the right next step for you.
At Bright Renewables, you will not work on the same machine at the same location every day. You will visit different customer sites throughout the Netherlands and work on installations related to biogas, gas upgrading, CO₂ liquefaction and carbon capture.
This is an independent technical position offering plenty of freedom, responsibility and variety. It is ideally suited to someone who feels at home in field service and enjoys being on the road.
The role
Bright Renewables supplies technologies for renewable gas and CO₂ capture. We provide worldwide solutions covering the complete lifecycle of an installation, from production and installation to service and maintenance.
Bright Renewables is part of HoSt Group, a Dutch family-owned company operating worldwide in renewable energy technology.
For our Service & Maintenance department, we are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer who will help keep our customer installations safe, reliable and operating at their best.
Following a thorough onboarding and training period, you will mainly work at customer sites throughout the Netherlands. Occasionally, you may visit locations elsewhere in the Benelux, and in some cases an assignment may take you further abroad.
The role offers a high level of freedom and independence. Once fully trained, you will organise and plan much of your work independently from home and travel to customers in your own fully equipped service van.
What makes this role interesting?
You will work with modern and newly developed installations involving biogas upgrading, CO₂ liquefaction and carbon capture.
This gives you the opportunity to solve challenging technical problems while working with innovative technologies that contribute directly to the energy transition.
What will you do?
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play an important role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our installations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on biogas installations, gas upgrading systems and CO₂ systems;
Analysing, diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults;
Commissioning, inspecting and optimising installations;
Identifying recurring technical issues and proposing structural improvements;
Reporting completed work and relevant technical observations;
Providing technical advice to customers and colleagues;
Participating in an on-call and breakdown support rotation.
You will often work independently, but you will never be on your own. You will work closely with an experienced technical team and can rely on colleagues from different technical disciplines when dealing with complex issues.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer who is comfortable in an independent and varied technical role.
You enjoy being on the road, are able to work independently and understand what it means to perform service and maintenance at customer locations.
You have experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Field Technician, Mobile Service Technician or Maintenance Technician, preferably within an industrial or technical environment.
Experience with the maintenance and repair of compressors, industrial installations, process installations, commissioning, rotating equipment or the start-up of new installations would be an excellent match for this position.
Thanks to your technical experience, you are able to analyse faults independently, identify the underlying cause and implement an appropriate solution.
