Your position as an Software Engineer (PLC)
As an Software Engineer (PLC), you will work closely with Electrical and Software Engineers within your department and report directly to the Manager Automation. You will be based at our office in Enschede, where you will collaborate with over 400 colleagues. Starting next year, we will be relocating to a brand-new, modern office in Hengelo. You will be responsible for designing and implementing PLC/SCADA controls for biomass energy plants and you will be responsible for both programming and commissioning. You will work in the Control and Automation department, where you will collaborate with 8 Software Engineers and 3 Electrical Engineers (that part of them are located in our production location ion Poland).
Your responsibilities
Conducting software testing;
Identifying and resolving issues related to electrical faults in biogas recovery installations (biogas enrichment);
Implementing software updates in installations commissioned for use;
Actively participating in the work of the engineering team focusing on software solution optimization;
Providing software and technical support to service staff operating biogas plants and biogas upgrading stations.
At least two years of experience in a similar position;
Experience in programming PLC controllers, knowledge of SCADA systems;
Knowledge of Siemens S7 controllers, TIA Portal tools;
Proficiency in English to the extent that allows fluent communication in both speaking and writing;
Knowledge of OT security will be an additional advantage;
SEP qualifications for up to 1 kV in the fields of operation and supervision;
CV in English.
