Job Description 

Since 2002, HyGear has been a pioneer in developing and delivering advanced hydrogen systems for production, purification, and recycling directly at the end user's location. Our systems are deployed worldwide across various industries and are known for their reliability, cost-efficiency, safety, flexibility, and sustainability. As part of the HoSt Group, a leading family business established in 1991, we are committed to clean and sustainable energy solutions. 

As a senior Project Engineer, you will work at our HyGear location in Arnhem. You will play a key role in the development of small-scale process systems and energy-efficient technologies such as hydrogen generators. To this end, you will work on (sub)projects in a multidisciplinary team of enthusiastic technicians.

You will oversee and organize the construction, supporting the Project Manager in detailing and maintaining the schedule. Additionally, you will serve as a resource for our Prototype Technicians and (junior) project engineers.


Your Responsibilities

  • Translating Process Flow Diagrams into P&IDs.
  • Selecting and ordering required components.
  • Supervising the construction of prototypes and commercial subsystems.
  • Writing test plans.
  • Conducting tests on prototypes and reporting on them.
  • Implementing improvements and writing improvement plans.
  • Performing risk analyses within the entire system.
  • Preparing the necessary project documentation.

Job requirements

What We Ask of You

  • Technical education at college or university level;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • In possession of technical ingenuity and perseverance to complete even the most difficult projects;
  • Able to work both theoretically and practically (such as analyzing tests, writing reports and tinkering);
  • Able to work independently and ability to work as part of a team;
  • You work accurately and take it for granted to keep appointments, in addition we regularly appeal to your result orientation and practical mentality.
