Operator Biogas installation

Host Latvia is looking for a motivated Process Operator for our biogas installations!

You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our advanced biogas installations in the Netherlands. With an eye for detail and precision, your task will be to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

You will be joining a team of dedicated operators. The work is organized in rotating shifts based on 3 weeks in the Netherlands followed by 3 weeks home. During the working weeks we expect you to work on site during normal working hours and be available on-call for emergency situations.

Your tasks

• Monitoring of the process of digestion, waste-water treatment, biogas upgrading and CO2 liquefaction;

• Perform regular maintenance to ensure all equipment is in top condition;

• Supervising of feedstock deliveries on site and verification of transportation documentation;

• Loading of trucks using a loader, unloading of trucks using forklift;

• Perform analysis in small laboratory, such as dry matter and ash test, FOS TAC analysis;

• Provide valuable advice on how to optimize processes and delve into the technology behind our installations to implement improvements;

• Ensure new components fit seamlessly and operate optimally;

• Plan and coordinate subcontractor activities during maintenance stops, ensuring everything stays on schedule.

What are we asking?

• Experience and/or good understanding in digestion and/or waste-water treatment plants;

• A relevant technical education in electric switching, tech mechatronics will be an asset;

• Familiar with SCADA systems;

• Knowledge of MCC panels and related electrical components;

• High level of responsibility;

• Ability to work independently and handle stress situations.
